The Company’s latest receivers – the OEMV® family - deliver high quality GNSS performance and many key features including GLONASS measurement and positioning, GPS (Global Positioning System) modernization, API (Application Programming Interface), integrated L-band and RoHS compliance. NovAtel’s AdVance™ RTK receiver was developed to enhance the performance of the OEMV product family. It delivers faster initialization times and position accuracy for a much greater range of usable baseline lengths.

NovAtel also offers a single board, dual-frequency GPS + Galileo receiver. The European Union’s future Galileo system and Russia’s GLONASS are complementary to the United States’ GPS. All three systems are referred to as the Global Navigation Satellite System, or GNSS. This is significant to users because the capability to track additional satellites simultaneously increases the reliability and availability of the positioning and navigation solution, especially in partially obstructed environments.

In environments where GPS only positioning may be difficult, NovAtel has developed SPAN™ (Synchronized Position Attitude & Navigation) Technology - a tightly integrated GPS receiver and inertial measurement unit (IMU) providing continuous positioning and attitude. To support SPAN, NovAtel offers GPS + Inertial post-processing software through its Waypoint™ Products Group.

NovAtel has expanded their Antenna offering with the recent acquisition of Antcom, a communication company specializing in the design, development and manufacturing of antenna and microwave products.  Adding satellite-borne, ground-based, avionics, and fixed/mobile wireless antennas to the company’s portfolio. NovAtel continues to provide a variety of GNSS antennas designed for single (L1) or dual (L1/L2) frequency coverage, as well as antennas designed for single (GPS) or dual (GPS plus GLONASS) satellite constellation operation. Additional models offer L-band capability for reception of signals from OmniSTAR and Canada-wide Differential GPS (CDGPS) correction services.
